Bookmark featuring the library murals (2008)

Abstract

A bookmark created in 2008 featuring the murals in the Veterinary Science Library. The purpose was to promote library services for veterinary practitioners during the centenary celebrations of the University of Pretoria. Special mention must be made of the unique murals created by two veterinary students. In 1995 James Lockyear decorated the pillar at the entrance of the Library with a scene of jumping springboks. A few years later the wall at the entrance was painted by Romain Pizzi with a picture of a cheetah and her cubs. Both can be seen on the bookmark
